Vacation Weekend 1

Currently, I am in Stone Mountain, Georgia spending my Christmas vacation with my family. My mother, sister and I arrived on Wednesday 12/23/09. We had a food filled Christmas lunch and dinner. If I remember correctly for breakfast it as : Ham, Pastels , Bread, Omelets, Dates, Sorrel, Apple Juice etc. For Dinner: Turkey, more Pastels, Vegetables, Potato, Cranberry Sauce , Rice, Sparkling Cider etc. So far I've been shopping at Stone Crest Mall and another mini mall in downtown Atlanta. I managed to pick up some things but not crazily at 5a.m like other people who ravished the stores. School returns on January 4th, 2010.

S.N.O.W spells....... About six to ten

This weekend, a little bit of snow fell. It wasn't enough to make schools close but it was still a lot. In the wee hours of the morning, street cleaners came down each road and cleared paths of snow. Each person had to come out of their house if they wanted to come out. My dad even threw salt to help dissolve the snow. I wish I was somewhere hot where I wouldn't have to deal with cold weather and nasty snow :-(

Blabberize is a photo sharing website. It has a funny opening with a talking llama. Its really cute and it is an easy process. Before doing anything, you should register.Then, you put a picture saved form your documents. You then choose music to go with your picture and put a mouth on your picture. You can preview, edit and save it. Then finally, you play it and save and post anywhere you'd like.

In my opinion, MyPlick is an okay website. It doesn't have a front page that will grab viewer's attention. Also besides that is just okay so I'd give it a sideways thumb because it wasn't terrible and it has an easy download process for pictures and has a cute feature called My Plicks. ♥

Youtube is a very good website for showing off the hottest videos. It allows people to show things online that they have recorded. There are recordings of politics so yes the site is educational but at the same time it is very comical as well. I recommend this site to everyone in the whole world. Go to Youtube today! Youtube shows a variety of topics. some include cooking politics music and much much more. So go to Youtube now and learn something and have fun. People can also register on Youtube and add their comments to other videos.

Best Buy , An iPod

Best Buy is as store that sells mostly electronics. They have televisions, iPods, cd's, radios, cell phones, video games, computers, gpa's etc. They have many different sales like on Black Friday they sold TV's for about $200.00 ! When you go to Best Buy, you can look for most electronics.

Books,Books and More Books

Barnes & Noble is a bookstore that is a favorite of many. When you come to Barnes & Noble , you don't even have to buy a book. You can sit down and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee from the lounge and curl up to a good book,magazine,newspaper or cassette. It is open to anyone and if you so choose to save money, you can register with B&N and save 10% on all your purchases. They sell so many different things like bookmarks, CD's etc that you'll be overwhelmed with variety.Whenever you have time and you need a quiet place to read maybe not at home or the library you can always stop here !

If you are looking for wonderful and equally delicious Christmas Recipes, Betty Crocker is definitely a website you should visit. This industry has been running for a while now so if you want to pick up a cookbook it is available at fine bookstores such as Barnes & Noble or Borders.

Yahoo ! Entertainment is an interesting website. It has things about celebrities,new movies with reviews, what's on TV now and what's coming on later, music etc. It has links to everything and advertises things to catch people's eyes. It what has a map to show people what is going on in there area. This website is helpful for people tat want updated and current information on Entertainment or just want to browse through pictures.

Mourning a Relative

This weekend I did my braids over and began Ms.Sinckler's assignment. On Friday, My aunt passed away so I went to Queens to visit some of my relatives. Luckily, I was able to visit her on Columbus Day while she was still in the Hospital . She was in her eighties and died of asthma complications which turned into pneumonia and other things.

My Weekend Around Town

This weekend a lot went on for me. Especially on Sunday. On Saturday, I stayed home and played my video games because I got in trouble and couldn't watch tv. I got in trouble because I didn't want to study haha. On Sunday, I went to church and then later dinner in Manhattan at an Italian restaurant and then took a drive with my parents and some visiting family through Chinatown and Manhattan. It was really fun to catch up with them.

Halloween Weekend

This past weekend was Halloween. I was so excited to give out candy to all the big and little Trick-Or-Treaters. It was all in good fun . Unfortunately, no tot's came so on the bright side I got to keep and eat all the candy haha. It was a quiet evening at home watching scary movies eating my candy!

Michael Jackson : This Is It

On October 28, 2009, the late pop singer Michael Jackson has a movie coming out. The movie is a Documentary about the performance Michael Jackson was supposed to do in London at the 02 Arena. The concert was scheduled in July before his unfortunate passing. I think the movie will be good, but not its best because since it wasn't the official concert only the rehearsals were taped. So far, only his sister LaToya and father Joe Jackson has spoken out about the film ststing that " Michael would turn over in his grave after seeing this" - LaToya Jackson. She also said everybody knows that Michael always wanted to do his best and would be upset seeing the perfromance be given as a rehearsal.

Bored Weekend at Home

This weekend not much shockingly went on. The most I did was go for practice in a play I will be in then come back home watch tv, do some hw and play my playstation. So excited to see what will happen on Monday !

Obama's Nobel Peace Prize

President Barack Obama received the Nobel Peace Prize on Friday October 9th, 2009. He won the Nobel Peace Prize because of fostering international relations. He is one of 4 Presidents including : President Jimmy Carter, President Theodore Roosevelt and President Woodrow Wilson. "I hope this decision would serve as an additional incentive for our common work to form a new climate in world politics and promote initiatives which are fundamentally important for global security "from the NY Times. Barack Obama in my opinion received the Prize too early and should have won it later on in his Presidency.

July 2004 Cruise

From July 18 to July 25 2004, my family went from Puerto Rico to St.Thomas to Barbados to Dominica and to Aruba. We had 2 days at sea. We traveled to tourist attractions and beaches and got to stay on and off the ship for the whole day until about 9 p.m. For those who didn't want to leave the ship, they stayed on the ship to explore the buffets, shops and pools/ hot tubs. We traveled on the Carnival Destiny cruise. We went with a group and stayed in room 2120. The ship was beautiful and we all had an amazing time. Since I was with so many adults ( I was 8 !) , they suggested the Camp Carnival which was like a mini camp for kids. Each day they did different activities like painting, seeing a show in the lounge etc which was fun. We had so much fun and would all want to do it again if it wasn't so expensive :-D
